Samuel W. Gowan is the President and a Senior Geologist. Dr. Gowan began consulting in 1976 and earned BA, MS and PhD degrees in geology in 1976, 1981, and 1985, respectively. His professional experience includes siting of critical facilities; evaluating the geology, and hydrogeology and hydrology for water supply developments, mining operations, contaminated sites, waste sites, mineral resource investigations, and property damage claims; and chronicling site history from air photographs. Dr. Gowan provides expert analysis and testimony in the areas of geology, hydrogeology, hydrology and air photographic interpretation. He is a Certified Professional Geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists, a Registered Geologist in Pennsylvania, a Licensed Geoscientist in Texas, and a Licensed Geologist in Kansas, Illinois, and Missouri.
Thomas M. Johnson is a Vice President and a Senior Hydrogeologist. Mr. Johnson obtained BS and MS degrees in geology in 1976 and 1982, respectively. He worked for the US Geological Survey in 1977 and has been a professional consultant since 1979 with experience in the areas of contaminant hydrology, water supply studies, landfill investigations, petroleum remediation, and hazardous and solid waste management and remediation. Mr. Johnson provides strength in the areas of site management, project management, expert analysis and testimony, and regulatory negotiation for investigations and remediation of hazardous waste sites and petroleum contaminated sites. He is a Certified Professional Geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists, a Registered Geologist in Virginia and a Licensed Geologist in the State of Washington.
Michael D. Palleschi is a Senior Hydrogeologist. Mr. Palleschi earned a BS degree in geology and began his professional career in 1986 specializing in the development of ground water resources and conducting environmental, hazardous waste, hydrologic and remedial investigations. Mr. Palleschi has extensive project management experience and provides contractor oversight, coordination of technical staff, project QA/QC and interaction with regulatory agencies. He is a Certified Professional Geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists, a Registered Geologist in Pennsylvania and a Licensed Geologist in New Hampshire. Mr. Palleschi is a national and New York State Certified Well Driller.
Steven M. Trader is a Senior Geologist. Mr. Trader earned a BS degree in geology in 1988 and has worked professionally as a geologist for over 15 years. He has extensive experience in coordinating and conducing field investigations to evaluate the hydrogeologic and geologic conditions associated with water supply development; mining operations; quarry expansions; waste water treatment plant upgrades; petroleum spills and USTs; solid waste landfills; and remediaton of contaminated sites. Mr. Trader has conducted environmental site assessments for property transactions, directed the removal and closure of dozens of UST sites, and performed mineral resource evaluations. He also has extensive experience in the use of air photographs for fracture trace analysis and for documenting contaminated site conditions and history.
Richard H. (Tick) Knight is a Senior Geologist. Mr. Knight earned a BA in geology in 1976 and is completing his MS in geology. Mr. Knight has over 30 years of diverse experience in the mining industry. His areas of expertise include mining geology, mineral exploration, mineral resource evaluation, 3-D computer modeling and GIS applications. Mr. Knight’s wide range of domestic and international mineral exploration experience covers planning, implementation and management of base and precious metal, as well as platinum-group and tin-tungsten exploration programs. Mr. Knight has performed various mineral resource evaluations that include detailed field examination, mineral valuation, and mineral rights research and acquisition. He is a Certified Professional Geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists, a Registered Professional Geologist in Pennsylvania, a Licensed Professional Geologist in New Hampshire and a member of the European Federation of Geologists.
Scott M. Hulseapple is a Senior Hydrogeologist. Mr. Hulseapple earned a BS degree in geology and environmental studies in 1992 and a MS degree in hydrology in 1995. He began his career in 1992, and his subsequent professional experience includes designing and implementing site investigations for hazardous waste sites; applying geographical information systems and environmental database management programs to environmental projects; performing hydrogeologic field investigations; performing site assessments for property transactions; and interacting with regulatory agencies. Mr. Hulseapple has extensive experience managing and conducting remedial investigations at sites impacted by petroleum products, chlorinated solvents, and PCBs. He is a Registered Professional Geologist in Kentucky.
John M. Nadeau is a Senior Geologist. Mr. Nadeau earned BS and MS degrees in 1998 and 2000, respectively. His professional career began in 2000 and he has extensive experience in geochemical and groundwater computer modeling. His experience also includes coordinating and conducting geologic and hydrogeologic field investigations related to hazardous and solid waste sites, water supply studies, and contaminated sites; directed the closure of underground storage tanks; performing environmental assessments for property transactions; and interaction with regulatory agencies. Mr. Nadeau is a Certified Professional Geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists, a Licensed Professional Geologist in Utah and a Licensed Geologist in Missouri.
Jean M. Neubeck is a Senior Hydrogeologist. Ms. Neubeck earned a BS in geology and began her career in 1981. Her professional experience includes designing and implementing site investigations for water supply, solid waste, petroleum spills, and hazardous waste projects; performing assessments for property transactions; preparing environmental impact statements; providing technical oversight of remediation activities for petroleum and hazardous waste contaminated sites; and supervising the removal and closure of underground, petroleum storage tanks. She is a Registered Geologist in Arkansas and Wyoming.
Kevin J. Phelan is a Senior Hydrogeologist. Mr. Phelan earned BA and MA degrees in geology in 1975 and 1981, respectively. He worked for the USGS in 1975 and since 1979, has obtained hydrogeologic, engineering geologic and geophysical experience in investigating sites for siting of critical facilities; evaluating the extent and sources of contaminants at petroleum spills, hazardous waste sites and solid waste sites; developing and testing ground water supplies; and assessing environmental conditions for litigation and property transfers. Mr. Phelan has directed the closure of underground storage tanks, and implemented cost-effective investigations and cleanups at dozens of petroleum spill sites. Mr. Phelan has been called upon to provide expert opinions in litigation involving the sources of petroleum contamination in ground water.
Donald C. Anné is a Senior Chemist. Mr. Anné has worked as an industrial chemist or environmental consultant since 1975. He specializes in performing data validation, environmental sampling, fixed-base laboratory audits, mobile laboratory and field sampling audits, portable gas chromatography; reviewing and recommending analytical methodologies; identifying petroleum products and PCB aroclors; and preparing quality assurance project plans and quality assurance manuals. His experience includes working as an analytical chemist, and he is familiar with gas chromatography, atomic absorption, infrared spectrometry and wet chemistry methods. He is a member of the American Chemical Society. |
